Jamie-Lee is the founder of The SelfRep Lawyer and she is on her way to establishing herself as a change maker in the legal profession. Jamie-Lee describes herself as a non-traditional lawyer who firmly believes that our humanness shouldn't cease to exist just because we are working professionals. Her compassionate and empathetic approach allows her to connect with clients on a deeper level, providing them with the support they need during challenging legal journeys.
Jamie-Lee holds an Honours Bachelor's degree in English Literature from McMaster University and completed her law degree at the University of Southampton in just two years, showcasing her determination. Admitted to the Alberta Bar in March 2022 and the Saskatchewan Bar in May 2022, she offers legal expertise across jurisdictions. With a combined eight years of pre-call and post-call experience in family law, Jamie-Lee possesses a deep understanding of the complexities and sensitivities involved in these cases. She has worked diligently as a family lawyer in both the public and private sectors, witnessing firsthand the gaps in the administration of justice. This recognition has fueled her desire to bridge the access-to-justice gap, leading her to create The SelfRep Lawyer and advocate for greater accessibility.
